Las Vegas Resort Highlights
"Resort Highlights" are the most interesting or attactive features of Las Vegas resorts. For example, I see the walkway between Luxor and Excalibur as interesting because most resorts don't have moving walkways.

This is the moving walkway between Excalibur and Luxor Las Vegas. One time we encountered an employee in costume who was welcoming visitors who had come from Excalibur to Luxor. Luxor was one of the most popular resorts in Las Vegas when it opened in 1993 and is also the only hotel in the world that's shaped like a pyramid; which isn't a facade but is the actual structure. The bottom floors near the base are standard, and the top 5 floors are cut off by a ceiling, but the rest of the rooms have slanted windows and look out over the casino when you step out since the pyramid is hollow. No artificial walls were contructed (except for the top 5 floors) to give the appearance of standard hotel rooms.

Headless Vladimir Lenin statue at the Red Square Russian themed restaurant in Mandalay Bay as seen in December 1999. The statue originally was complete, but some people thought Mandalay Bay was honoring him, which wasn't the intention; so they removed his head as a symbol of disrespect. Red Square closed in November 2019.

The original Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas featured giant guitars as outdoor decorations. The upright one appears to be a Les Paul while the slanted one looks like a Fender Stratocater or Telecaster. Hard Rock became the Virgin Hotel in Feb, 2020, but is scheduled to reopen in place of the Mirage on the strip in 2027.
